A Quiet Moment I’m Grateful For

A Quiet Moment I’m Grateful For

While the world is chasing Black Friday deals and I’m juggling holiday prep — checking the menu twice, moving food to start defrosting, and still somehow forgetting parchment paper — I’m pausing for a moment to hold onto something small but precious.

This past Sunday, while the baby napped, my husband and I finally had a quiet stretch of time with our four-year-old. We piled onto the couch with popcorn (mixed with marshmallows and chocolate chips) and put on a movie — nothing fancy, just the three of us in our own little world. And my gosh… hearing my son giggle without anything else pulling our attention felt like its own kind of magic. With my husband’s unpredictable schedule, moments like that have been rare lately, and it reminded me how grounding the smallest joys can be.

Before you dive back into the holiday frenzy, I hope you find one tiny thing that brings you back to center — a breath, a smile, a warm cup, a quiet second.

Share one small thing you’re thankful for today.

From my road to yours, happy wandering.
