Swinging Back Into Creativity

Swinging Back Into Creativity

After a hard day of throwing up, my 4-year-old was still a little wobbly. But by the end of the week, he was ready to play Tarzan, swinging from his stuffed animal net like it was a jungle vine. It didn’t end well for the wall — one of the hooks came right out! — but his energy was back.

What amazes me is how quickly kids bounce back. They don’t tiptoe around creativity after a setback — they leap right back in, full of imagination and laughter.

That resilience is its own creative lesson: don’t wait until everything feels perfect to start again. Sometimes the best spark comes when you swing right back into it.

👉 Mini challenge: Think of one area you’ve been holding back in — and take a small leap back in today.

Share your “swing back” moment in the comments — let’s cheer each other on.

From my road to yours, happy wandering.

Hello,

I’m Natasha

a Texas-born, New York-based writer and wanderer—sharing stories as sweet as tea and as bold as booze. Here, I write about the messy-beautiful journey of motherhood, intentional living, and creativity. Think of it as a front porch chat: warm, a little witty, and always real. Pull up a chair, pour yourself something sweet (or strong), and let’s wander this creative journey together.
